Jonathan Kogen

Senior ANALYST

Jonathan Kogen is a Senior Analyst at Market Strategy Group who provides strategic, analytic, and research support for clients across various industries. Most recently, Jonathan assessed the competitive landscape of digital transformation platforms in the workplace.

Jonathan graduated cum laude from Northwestern University, where he studied political science and economics. Prior to joining MSG, he earned a Master’s in Management degree from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. At Kellogg, he worked closely with Northwestern’s Athletic Department to identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities afforded by recent facilities renovations.

His passion for strategic thinking and in-depth preparation is an outgrowth of his lifelong study of chess. Jonathan is an accomplished player, having earned the title of National Master from the United States Chess Federation at age 16. He also served as the captain of Northwestern’s chess team for 3 years.

Outside of work and chess, Jonathan is an avid sports fan, particularly of the Chicago Cubs. He hopes to further explore the application of data and analytics to the world of sports.
